Sake is an alcoholic beverage of Japanese origin that is made from fermented rice.
It is called “rice wine”. The label on a bottle of Sake gives a rough indication of its taste.

Sake is basically made from rice and water. It’s said that water is very important to make good sake.
Sake can be served hot or cold. Hot sake is called Atsukan, and cold sake is called Hiyazake. Winter is the best time to enjoy hot sake.
